Marcharie shows up in her new single "embers" from a completely different side. Warm sounds that hug you, which are almost comforting and protective. A tender, soulful timbre in the usually powerfully shrill pop voice. The story tells about tension and excitement in a romantic relationship, but also the longing for deep emotional connection and the resulting fear and insecurity.
It is not without reason that the month of March has been set for the release date. The cold winter turns into hopeful spring. The desire for warmth and freedom increases immeasurably in the cold season. Exactly these feelings also flare up in "Embers" and want to give spring fever while listening.​
"Restart" is the second single from Marcharie's first EP. The song was created in a phase of weighing and reorientation. In March 2020 during the first Corona lockdown, the singer temporarily dropped out of her master's degree in musicology and devoted herself fully to her own music. "Restart" is the cornerstone of her solo project.

"Rush Down" was released as the first single from Marcharie's debut EP. The song is one of the first that the singer had ever written to completion and waited about two years for its production. The text is about the imbalance within a relationship.
"If a wing of a bird would beat just a little bit faster than the other - we rush down."
With "Come On, Hold My Hand" the idea for the solo project "Marcharie" was born. In 2018 the artist sang Stepan Sobanov's song "Those Memories" in a composition competition at the University of Performing Arts and Music Vienna, with which they achieved first place and won a professional music production. Sobanov composed another song, which Marcharie released as her debut single.
About Me
"Hello! I'm Marcharie (aka Martina Stummer or Marchie).
Singing has always been a constant part of my life. At the age of six I discovered my love for the stage, for performing and entertaining with my voice and I decided to make music my purpose in life.
Music is in my blood. My father Manfred Stummer is a pianist and was music school director and teacher at the music school in Krems/Donau. My mother Regina Stummer is a flute player and also teacher. My grandfather Josef Leeb was a conductor, is the founder of the Austrian Brass Band Association and has spent his life dedicated to music and music education, among other things for children and young people.
I studied musicology at the University of Vienna, work at Radio Österreich 1 as a presenter and program designer, am a singer in various wedding and event bands and have always written songs .
In 2019 my first single " Come On, Hold My Hand " (composed by Stepan Sobanov ) was released. The accompanying music video was created in collaboration with New York-based videographer Samantha Pyra.
In the summer of 2020 I made the decision to produce my own songs. Together with Liam Schmid from in The Zone Studios I developed my first EP, which was released in April 2021 on CD and on all streaming platforms under the Rhythm&Poetry label.
I look forward to making, writing, speaking about, speaking through and raising awareness with music in the future; And above all, to convey joy with music."
